This morning I watched videos of Gatlinburg, Tennessee, burning out of control, adding to the many fires that have been burning in Georgia and North Carolina here in the States. Israel is burning as well. These places could certainly use even some of the torrential rains of Hurricane Matthew that devastated parts of Haiti. The children and families of this impoverished island country continue to need help in their recovery. The stories are tough, but the hope of Jesus shines through. Would you take just a couple minutes to watch Angeline’s story? Then please share your thoughts in the comments below.
It’s giving Tuesday today as I write this. A day, in my mind anyway, far more important than all the retail extravaganzas of the last few days. Perhaps your life reflects an especially giving heart everyday. For others you may need a gentle nudge. A visit to Compassion International’s website offers you opportunities to give to help Angeline and other’s like her. You’ll also find many children on the site awaiting sponsors. Will you make the difference for even one today.
